Development Release: UHU-Linux 2.0 Test 1 |
| The developers of Hungary's UHU-Linux have announced the availability of the first test release of UHU-Linux 2.0. According to the release announcement (in Hungarian), the new version features a number of important conceptual changes to the distribution; these include availability of a complete UHU-Linux DVD, multilingual features (besides Hungarian, the new installer also supports English), switch to UTF-8 as the default character encoding, unified keyboard shortcuts for all desktops, and new automount features. Among the known bugs, there are issues with writing CDs and DVDs in this release. Those interested in helping with bug reports can download the CD and DVD images from here: uhu-linux-2.0-test1-cd.iso (699MB, MD5) or uhu-linux-2.0-test1-dvd.iso (3,260MB, MD5). |
