Development Release: Frenzy 1.0 RC1 |
| The first release candidate of the FreeBSD-based Frenzy has been released, this time with support for English and other languages. Some of the more interesting features include: "Base system - FreeBSD 6.1-RELEASE; improved boot loader with different boot options; selection of system language; setting of RAM disk size; possibility of booting from compressed image on hard disk; different hard disk interaction modes; configuration center (frconf) with modules for setting up console, swap file, LAN, dial-up, VPN and ADSL; hard disk installer (install2hdd); USB Flash installer (install2flash); new backup utilities (frbk-create and frbk-restore), stress-testing utility (stresstest); brand new look."
