Development Release: QiLinux 2.0 Beta 1 |
| The first beta of QiLinux 2.0 is ready for testing: "We are proud to announce the release of QiLinux 2.0beta1 free edition. A list of the most important changes: KDE desktop new version 3.5.1; low latency audio system based on Jack Audio Toolkit; new hardware access architecture based on udev and hal; bootloader GRUB; support for new multimedia peripherals; UTF-8 support; Linux kernel 2.6.15.4; GCC 4.0.2; X.Org 6.9.0 and updated ATI and NVIDIA video drivers; OpenOffice.org 2;hundreds of new software packages available."
