Distribution Releases: SimplyMEPIS 3.3.1-1, MEPISLite, Extra CDs |
| The developers of MEPIS Linux have announced several new product releases. SimplyMEPIS 3.3.1-1 is a maintenance release; it adds the Traveller Disc feature and autoconfiguration support for new Intel and nForce4 motherboards. The new MEPISLite is designed specifically for home users with modest hardware and for those who want to use a light-weight edition of MEPIS. Finally, there is the initial release of MEPIS Extra CDs, a set of three ISO images containing about 1,500 of popular applications, including documentation, language support, games, software development, as well as extra packages for KDE, GNOME, and servers. SimplyMEPIS 3.3.1-1 can be downloaded from here: SimplyMEPIS-3.3.1-1.iso (684MB, MD5). MEPISLite and MEPIS Extra CDs are commercial products available exclusively through MEPIS Subscription. |
