Development Release: Càtix 1.1 Alfa 3 |
| The third alpha release of Càtix 1.1 is now available for download and testing. Càtix is a Knoppix-based live CD with support for the Catalan language and a hard disk installation option. The latest release is a major evolution of the distribution, with better compatibility with Debian than previous releases. The only exceptions differentiating Càtix from Debian Sid is the included kernel and the hardware auto-configuration script, called Caut. Besides the usual package updates (kernel 2.6.11, KDE 3.3.2, GNOME 2.8.2), this release provides a much improved hard disk installation program.
