Development Release: vnlinuxCD 9.4 Beta |
| A new development version of vnlinuxCD, a Vietnamese live CD based on Mandrakelinux, has been released. Version 9.4 (code name "Nha Trang") uses IceWM as the default window manager for machines with low amounts of RAM. Unionfs and QEMU + KQEMU are also included. By booting with "union=yes", users can store changes and install more software as they see fit before installing vnlinuxCD onto hard disk. | VNLinux consists of two subprojects - vnlinuxCD and VNLS (VNLinux Secure). vnlinuxCD is a Vietnamese Linux live CD based on Mandriva Linux and designed for desktop use. Its default desktop environment is GNOME and it can be installed on hard disk with a simple installation wizard. VNLS is a server oriented distribution based on EnGarde Secure Linux designed for Vietnamese users. |
