Distribution Release: Resala Linux Core 1 |

Supported by Linux-Egypt.org, Resala Linux is a Linux distribution based on Fedora Core with Arabic support. Version 1 was officially released today: "Today Resala Linux Core 1 has been released to the public. It is the founding stone for Resala Linux Project. Resala Linux Core aims to be Arabic ready for the Arabic users out of the box." Visit the distribution's web site to read the rest of the official announcement and release notes. The ISO image can be downloaded from here: resala-core-1-disc1.iso (690MB).

| Resala Linux Project is a single-CD distribution based on Fedora Core. The main objective is to: (a) create an Arabic-ready distribution to make it easy for computer users to use Linux in the Arabic-speaking countries, and (b) to open the door for all developers to contribute to a regional distribution. Resala Project is supported by Linux-Egypt.org where it will be maintained as a standalone project to allow contributions from everywhere and by everyone who can contribute. |
