Blue Linux and JAMD Linux have merged to create a new desktop Linux distribution called Ares Desktop: "In late 2003, the lead developers of two GNU/Linux Desktop distributions started talks on common design goals and the problems faced by smaller desktop vendors. Limited resources, limited developers, limited users and a high level of demand were just a few of the problems. Their solution was to merge their resources and create a new distribution aimed at their common target market. From these efforts Ares Desktop was born." The full press release.
