OEone: A New Experience for Linux Desktop Computing |

Although OEone HomeBase Desktop is not a Linux distribution in the traditional sense of the word, but rather a desktop environment running on top of Red Hat or Mandrake, nevertheless, the creators have been providing a complete distribution in the form of OEone HomeBase Suite. LinuxOrbit has put the freely downloadable HomeBase Desktop through its paces in this review: "HomeBase DESKTOP a truly unique desktop experience. It will be interesting to keep up with the HomeBase DESKTOP product as it continues to mature. Whether or not the market wants to use PCs differently remains to be seen, but OEone will be at the forefront of the effort in the future." The product gets 3.5 stars out of 5.
