NEW • Development Release: OpenGEU 8.04 Alpha |
| The first development build of OpenGEU 8.04, a desktop distribution combining the latest Ubuntu with the Enlightenment window manager, is out and ready for testing: "This is the official OpenGEU 8.04 'Luna Crescente' alpha release. In this release there has been a big number of changes on the software side, a lot of new tools and E17 modules, many of which have been developed by our team. Since OpenGEU Luna Nuova, a lot has changed - there's no extra panel in OpenGEU, no fbpanel and no GNOME panel. The user will be able to find any GNOME tools needed in the very convenient OpenGEU menu entry of the E17 menu. The system tray can be found on the lower right corner of the screen thanks to trayer. The alpha version is already fully working." Here is the brief release announcement. Download the installable live CD image via BitTorrent: opengeu-8.04-desktop-i386-alpha.iso (615MB, MD5). |
