NEW • Development Release: SimplyMEPIS 7.0 RC2 |
| Warren Woodford has announced the second a final release candidate for SimplyMEPIS 7.0: "The 7.0 rc2 master image contains package updates from Debian as well as a bug fix and security update of the kernel to version 2.6.22.14. The mepis-config is updated to include a fix for the predefined group memberships for new users, a new KDM theme, and a change to the default package pools to include Debian 'volatile' updates. The MEPIS manual, written by community members, is also updated. By user request, ATI driver 8.43.2 and gtk2-engines 2.12.2 are now in the MEPIS 7.0 pool." The final release of SimplyMEPIS 7.0 is expected no later than 19 December. Please read the complete release announcement for further details.
