NEW • Development Release: TrueBSD 2.0 RC1

Alexey Sokolov has announced the availability of a release candidate for TrueBSD 2.0, a desktop live DVD based on FreeBSD 7: "TrueBSD 2.0-RC1 released. Release notes: Instead of a CD, a DVD with a big collection of applications (including KDE, GNOME, Compiz/Beryl, Amarok, OpenOffice.org) is used; migration to UTF-8 (except for system console); migration to FreeBSD 7; migration to modular X; support for Macromedia Flash in all browsers installed on system; auto-configuration of X server; 'uname -sr' now prints current version of FreeBSD, instead of TrueBSD, because it prevented building of ports; fixed bug with incorrect font size on some monitors...."
