NEW • Development Release: Foresight Linux 2.0 Alpha 1 |
| Ken VanDine has announced the first alpha release of Foresight Linux 2.0, an rPath-based distribution featuring the latest GNOME technologies: "The Foresight Linux Project is proud to announce Foresight Linux 2.0 Alpha 1. This alpha is not meant for full-time use, but does offer a preview of Foresight Linux's 2.0 features. This first alpha is only available as a DVD ISO including GNOME and future alpha releases will include a CD ISO as well as KDE and Xfce editions. Foresight Linux 2.0 features the latest GNOME desktop environment, including Evolution email and calendar, Tomboy Notes, Banshee, F-Spot, Pidgin, Epiphany web browser and more. Foresight Linux 1.4 also features the latest Conary package manager and CompizFusion." Read the rest of the release announcement for more details.
