NEW • Development Release: CCux Linux 0.9.5 (Alpha) |
| A new alpha version of CCux Linux is out: "Today we released the newest CCux Linux version. This release provides kernel 2.6.10 (including ipw2100 & ipw2200, supermount, bootsplash, wlan-ng, acerhk and some more performance patches ), NVIDIA 1.0.6629, X.Org 6.8.1, KDE 3.3.2, Firefox and Thunderbird 1.0, only to mention some of the new or upgraded packages. Many bugs, especially in the CCux Linux installer, have been fixed. Many new packages have been added to our new package database that you can find on our site. As usual, NPTL and all the well-known features are still there." The release announcement. Download: ccux-linux-alpha-0.9.5.iso (694MB). CCux Linux is an attempt to build a beginner-friendly Linux distribution optimised for modern processors.
