NEW • Distribution Release: DNALinux 0.37 |
| This is the latest release of DNALinux, a SLAX-based live CD with bioinformatics applications: "At GenesDigitales we are proud to announce the last version of DNALinux. This version includes one of most requested features: programming languages like C, Perl and Python. Now DNALinux users can compile programs. Another requested feature included is the Java Runtime Environment (JRE). A Java-based bioinformatics program is included: Apollo, a DNA sequence editor and viewer. Since JRE is now part of DNALinux expect more JAVA based bioinformatics software. Regarding bioinformatics, DNALinux now includes sim4 a program to align cDNA and genomic DNA."
