| Miklós Vajna has announced the second and final release candidate for Frugalware Linux 0.8: "The Frugalware developer team is pleased to announce the immediate availability of Frugalware Linux 0.8rc2, the second (and last) release candidate of the upcoming 0.8 stable release. Changes since 0.8rc1: Installer optimizations - a general install should now be about 30% faster; improved documentation - added details about our mailing lists; minor bug fixes to help the upgrade from 0.7; package updates - Linux kernel 2.6.24 + security fixes, Perl 5.10.0, GCC 4.2.3, more than 150 other package updates; new packages - iwlwifi-4965 and iwlwifi-3945 firmware packages, several new Drupal modules, Alpine (a replacement for Pine), more than 25 other new packages."
